I drew this fanciful ink drawing because I was thinking about how it was a long time ago when iiwis were common on Oahu like they are on the Big Island in Volcanoes area. I thought about the plants that used to be here more abundantly as well. ‘Ie’ie (freycinetia arborea), and various lobeliads, and rendered a one of my favorites.
