At the end of a small footpath, there is a beautiful place where the water ripples gently and the leaves whisper in the breeze. In that moment of tranquility, you are infinite. Everything is going to be all right. No matter how heavy your troubles are, they cannot find you here by the edge of the lake. Here, you can be at peace.
This piece won first place at Honolulu Country Club’s “By Land or Sea” show, which had a three-person panel of jurors.
It is in a private collection on display at a local medical facility.
